Royal Corinthian manufactures a cellular PVC railing system that is as close to maintenance free as possible, which is why it comes with a lifetime warranty. The RoyalGuard railing is comprised of a thick PVC casing that is reinforced with an aluminum channel. This results in a structural railing system. The railing comes in a white color that fully permeates each particle of PVC and is UV stabilized.

Often PVC and vinyl are used interchangeably. Vinyl, a general term for plastic products, railings are made with a thin layer of plastic that is reinforced by metal. The systems are fragile, shiny and tawdry, and often shaky. Ours, on the other hand, is robust and rigid, comes with a matte finish that doesn’t have a cheap appearance, and is angular rather than rounded. In other words, our railing components have sharper corners, giving the system a more elegant appearance.
Material Composition and Process
Both the cellular PVC casement and the aluminum reinforcement are made using the process of extrusion. Extrusion is a manufacturing process used to create objects with a fixed cross-sectional profile by pushing or drawing material through a die. A die is essentially a mold. Cellular PVC is expanded using a foaming agent. This is why the product is thicker yet still a lightweight railing system. Once extruded, our PVC goes through an extensive polishing process that gives it the rich matte finish. The channel is made from 6063-T5 aluminum. 6063 T5 aluminum is commonly used in architectural applications like window frames, door frames, and curtain walls due to its excellent corrosion resistance and good formability.
Product Offering
RoyalGuard railings are available in kits, individual components, or as assembled sections. Rails are available in 6’, 8’, 10’, and 12’ lengths but can be cut to any size. Standard heights are 36” or 42”, but can be modified easily to other heights. The RoyalGuard Classic rigid PVC railing system is 3-3/4” wide and has an elegant peaked top, which allows for rain water to escape and not accumulate. The baluster or spindle is 1-1/2” x 1-1/2”. The standard newel post measures 4-1/4” x 4-1/4” and fits snugly over a nominal 4×4 wood post or a structural post mount. Larger posts are available in essentially any width. The RoyalMount post mount is available for 36” or 42” system heights and installs on concrete, wood, or composite substrates. The posts can be adorned with a variety of post caps and skirts, including post caps with solar lighting. The system can even integrate natural wood top rails and/or post caps to create a hybrid railing that is simply breathtaking. Chippendale panels can be used in combination with the picket balusters or in lieu of them. We offer an assortment of standard Chippendale panels and customization is no trouble and fairly inexpensive.
